Jumping spider in the house, 8/15/04
This jumping spider is one of several Platycryptus undatus that I've found indoors lately. Its usual habitat is on tree trunks and man-made structures (houses). The males have a rusty band under the eyes, the female has a pale or white band. He has six eyes, only 4 are clearly visible. He was liberated to the back porch after posing for a couple of photos.
